How to acquire GuildQB Guild Badge

Guild badges are NFTs that can be created using an Ethereum (ETH) or Polygon (MATIC) wallet, such as MetaMask. If you are unfamiliar with how to create a MetaMask wallet, refer to our separate article for detailed instructions.

It is important to note that the creation of guild badges requires the appropriate amount of ETH or MATIC in the wallet to pay for the gas fee associated with the transaction. Therefore, before creating a guild badge, ensure that your wallet has enough funds to cover the gas fee.

How can the badge be used on Discord?

After you have successfully created a Guild Badge and added it to your wallet, you can request a membership role on the GuildQB Discord to access a special channel dedicated to guild badge holders. Please note that this feature is currently under development and will be available soon.

There are several types of badges, which can be earned and minted by completing badge-specific missions

Once the mission is completed, the badge will be pinned to the profile as an indication of achievement. To unlock a badge, you must complete the entire mission, and you can track your progress for each badge you are working on.

Missions can include supporting the gaming community, being in the top 1,000 on the gaming leaderboards, creating content, and participating in gaming-related activities. As you level up your badges, you gain increased power, which can be displayed through different tiers of badges. This allows for the recognition of community leaders and contributors.

Badges can be earned by achieving specific goals, such as joining the Discord server, participating in Twitter spaces, or supporting the community. Each badge has different rarities and powers at the time of casting. The more power you accumulate from your badge collection, the more rewards you receive when badges are dropped into the community.

However, it is essential to note that badge power is not constant. Eventually, badges evolve to become living NFTs or social recognition. If you are not engaged or involved in the community, your badge's power will gradually decrease, affecting the overall rewards you receive.

Event Airdrop

Earning a badge can lead to receiving several airdrop rewards based on available opportunities. For instance, if you have a Christmas badge connected to your guild's project, you can participate in the community event on 24-25 December and earn experience.

The total experience held by the guild badge holder is taken into account when determining airdrop rewards. For example, if there are 1000 holders, each holding 50 experience, the total experience pool is 50,000.

If your badge holds only 50 experience, but you possess other badges, the total experience you accumulate will increase. For instance, if you have a total of 500 experience, your chances of receiving the reward will be 500/50,000 = 1%.

The likelihood of winning the reward will continue to increase with each reward, and it is not possible to receive the same reward more than once. For example, if User A receives the first reward with 1000 experience, the total experience pool will reduce from 50,000 to 49,000.

If your experience is 500, your chances of receiving the second reward will be 500/49,000 = ~1.02%. This process can lead to hundreds of rewards in some cases.
